#FreeBilly: Crazy Nairobian Finally Released From Police Custody
Influencer Billy Simani better known as Crazy Nairobian has been released from police custody following his arrest on Friday.
Law Society of Kenya President Faith Odhiambo on Friday evening shared a video capturing her with Billy following his release.
The release comes after over 50,000 Kenyans joined an X Space calling for the release of Billy Simani and blasting politicians for the harsh economic conditions witnessed across the country.

Earlier on Friday, Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi, who was among the listeners on the platform, was compelled to act after pressure from Kenyans who questioned why Billy was arrested.
Minutes later, Itumbi claimed that the influencer was accused of sending threatening messages to a public servant.
“I have checked with the Police why Crazy Nairobian, Billy, is under arrest. I understand he sent a threatening message/s. I get hundreds of those myself, and they do not bother me. But well, it is a crime. I am unable to intervene, though I strongly disagree. I will reach out to the complainant to see if he/she can withdraw.”
According to reports from his friends and fellow influencers, Billy was arrested in his home in Mwihoko and then taken to an undisclosed police station. Later, it would be revealed that Billy was at the Muthaiga Police Station – a claim which would then be disputed after his friends failed to trace him there.
