On Sunday evening, President William Ruto began a significant state visit to the United States.

He is expected to land at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport around 5:30 p.m. This airport, the busiest in the world, handles approximately 100 million passengers annually.

The airport serves as a major connecting hub due to its location, within a two-hour flight of key U.S. cities.

President Ruto’s visit will start in Atlanta, Georgia. After checking into his hotel and attending a briefing, he will visit the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum to discuss democracy.

The visit will highlight not only diplomatic engagements but also the luxurious aircraft transporting him and his delegation across the Atlantic.

Reports indicate that President Ruto departed Kenya on a chartered jet from RoyalJet, a company based in the United Arab Emirates.

RoyalJet, established on May 4, 2003, is a joint venture between Abu Dhabi Aviation and the Presidential Flight (Abu Dhabi Amiri Flight).

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan chairs the airline.

President Ruto will travel on a Boeing Business Jet B737-77W, a recent addition to RoyalJet’s fleet, introduced in 2016, representing luxury in aviation.

    A Comfort and Technology Oasis

The A6 RJU is distinguished by a forward stateroom with an ensuite VIP lavatory, providing President Ruto with maximum privacy and convenience.

The cabin features modern design elements, premium materials, and carbon fiber, enhanced by a mood lighting system offering over a million color variations, controlled via an iPad-based system.

President Ruto will have access to a cutting-edge video-on-demand in-flight entertainment system, with superior sound quality from overhead speakers and subwoofers.

The aircraft also offers the fastest available Ka-Band WiFi globally, allowing for smooth streaming of high-definition content from platforms like Apple TV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video.

    Health and Comfort

RoyalJet emphasizes passenger well-being with the A6 RJU, which includes low cabin altitude modification and HEPA filtration.

These features enhance health and comfort, ensuring passengers feel more relaxed and refreshed upon arrival.

    Versatile Cabin Layout

The aircraft’s cabin can hold up to 34 passengers, offering a mix of VIP, business, and standard class seating.

For extended flights, the A6 RJU has a queen-sized bed and 16 lie-flat seats, ensuring passenger comfort throughout the journey.

    Strategic and Diplomatic Significance

President Ruto’s visit to the U.S. commemorates the 60th anniversary of U.S.-Kenya diplomatic relations.

This visit seeks to strengthen bilateral relations, focusing on trade, investment, technological innovation, climate and clean energy, health, and security.
