Moses Kuria Announces Four-Month Silence Amid Political Frustrations
Following numerous complaints about being excluded from important political events by senior government officials and Azimio politicians, Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria announced on Monday that he would enter a self-imposed silence for four months.
Kuria declared that he would refrain from participating in political discussions until August 2024.
He mentioned that in August, he would hold a press conference that he claimed would significantly alter the country’s political landscape.
“I will be making a major announcement that will reshape Kenya’s political future and landscape on 20th August 2024 at 10 am,” CS Kuria announced.
In his vow of silence, he asserted, “Until then, I will not express any political views or opinions on any issue.”
This is not the first time Moses Kuria has threatened to remain silent due to political frustrations.

After a poor performance in the Kiambu gubernatorial race in August 2022, Kuria announced that he would cease engaging with Kenyans on social media.
However, this vow lasted less than a week as he soon resumed criticizing the opposition for their unwillingness to acknowledge William Ruto as the legitimately elected President of Kenya.
Kuria’s recent frustrations arise from what he sees as disregard from the National Government and leaders from his region.
The CS previously complained about President William Ruto frequently inviting Kiambu leaders to the State House without informing him.
He stated that any discussions concerning Kiambu should not proceed without his involvement, given his senior position as a cabinet member from the region.
Kuria has also expressed his dissatisfaction with former Members of Parliament Jeremiah Kioni and Martha Karua for holding high-profile political meetings, including the Limuru 3 rally, without extending an invitation to him.
