Jalang’o Reflects on Working with Raila Odinga and President William Ruto

Lang’ata MP Felix Odiwuor, known as Jalang’o, discussed his experiences collaborating with both Azimio leader Raila Odinga and President William Ruto.

In an interview with a local radio station, the outspoken lawmaker praised the Head of State while sharing anecdotes of his interactions with President Ruto, primarily at State House, Nairobi.

Jalang’o highlighted Ruto’s remarkable generosity as a standout quality during their collaboration.

He described his work with the President as involving lengthy meetings, minimal breaks, and tight deadlines.

Jalang’o disclosed that Ruto prioritizes his faith, often placing God at the forefront of his endeavors.

Moreover, he mentioned the President’s penchant for enjoying tea during his leisure moments, particularly in the evenings.

Despite acknowledging Ruto’s aversion to alcohol, Jalang’o admitted to considering drinking during their State House meetings but ultimately refrained out of respect for the President.

He shared instances where he opted to step away from discussions to indulge in drinks with friends rather than consume alcohol in Ruto’s presence.

Jalang’o emphasized his reverence for the State House as the President’s residence, underscoring his reluctance to engage in behavior that might disrespect it.

Regarding his relationship with Raila Odinga, Jalang’o affirmed their positive rapport, praising Raila’s humility and forgiving nature.

He indicated that he primarily seeks out Raila for political matters and resolutions to various issues.
