Tragedy in Nakuru: Police Officer Dies by Suicide After 2 Wives Abandon Him

A police officer stationed at Nakuru Central Police Station in Nakuru County took his own life on Wednesday following a disagreement with his two wives.

According to a police report obtained by Kenyans.co.ke, the officer’s distress began when both of his wives left their home after the argument.

The report stated that he became ill and depressed, expressing gloomy thoughts about his proximity to death.

During this time, he was left alone with his daughters, aged 16 and 12.

“The report also confirmed that the deceased had been unwell and struggling with depression, frequently telling them he believed his life was nearing its end,” the report noted.

At 11:30 am on Wednesday, the officer reportedly spent time in an unfinished house on his property, leaving his children at home.

He used a sisal rope to hang himself from a roof timber inside the house.

His eldest daughter discovered his body at midday and alerted the police.
