Kitengela Horror: Father Kills Daughter and Himself in Revenge Against Estranged Wife
A 58-year-old man in Kitengela, Kajiado East Sub-County, killed his teenage daughter before taking his own life in a shocking incident that has left the community in disbelief.
The incident occurred at Blessed Apartment on Sunday evening and is thought to be linked to marital issues.
The 16-year-old girl, who lived with her mother elsewhere, visited her father on Sunday afternoon. Her parents had recently separated due to irreconcilable differences.
Witnesses told Gossipa2z.com they heard the girl’s cries for help followed by a disturbance in the house.
“A scream came from the house and then ceased. There was a brief disturbance. It’s sad we couldn’t save the girl,” one neighbor said.
The incident drew a large crowd that surrounded the building and blocked a nearby road. When Gossipa2z.com arrived at the scene, women were crying uncontrollably. Police took away both bodies.

The police report stated the two bodies were found in the bedroom, lying in a pool of blood.
“The 16-year-old girl had severe stab wounds on her back, abdomen, left breast, and several head injuries likely caused by a blunt object, along with defensive wounds on her left arm,” the police report said.
The 59-year-old man had stab wounds in his lower abdomen.
The man left a suicide note stating that rejection by his estranged wife was his primary motive.
“Nilikwambia ya kwamba unacheza na mtu hujui unaniona tu. Sasa hiyo ndio faida ulitaka kutoka kwangu. Mimi ni yule ulidharau…Mimi naenda kupumzika. Baki na kidonda cha maisha. Hio ndio faida yangu kwa miaka ulinipotezea (I told you that you are playing with someone you don’t know. This is the benefit you wanted from me. You looked down on me. I am going to rest. Live with a scar in your heart. This is my reward for the years you wasted),” the note said, as reported by Gossipa2z.com.
Police officers found two sharp knives, a hammer, a suicide note, and a piece of paper with a phone number. The bodies were transferred to Shalom Hospital Mortuary.
Patrick Manyasi, the Isinya Sub-County Police Commander, called the incident tragic. He encouraged couples to seek counseling when experiencing marital problems.
“We regret the loss of two lives. Couples should seek assistance when dealing with marital challenges,” he stated.
