Police Officer Badly Hurt in Clash with Civilians

In Naivasha Town, a traffic police officer sustained serious injuries on Saturday night after being attacked by a crowd during a confrontation with a bystander at the site of an accident.

Reports indicate that a police officer supposedly struck a witness on the head with his handcuffs when the civilian challenged the officer about delays in handling the situation.

After a tense argument between the officer and the onlookers at the scene, one of the bystanders reportedly used a shirt to choke the officer.

In response to the attack, the officer used his handcuffs to strike the man, which upset the residents.

Angry residents allegedly attacked the officer, hitting him repeatedly and ultimately causing him to fall into a ditch.

He is said to have sustained severe injuries during the incident and is recovering from them.
