Former President Uhuru Kenyatta Spotted Watching Basketball In The US
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta had an unlikely encounter with a fellow noteworthy Kenyan while watching the NBA playoffs in the United States of America.
Photos have emerged of the former Head of State shaking hands with Wapi Pay founder Eddie Ndichu and the two appear to enjoy the conversation – just as they must have enjoyed the game.
Kenyatta, while wearing a green baseball cap and a puffy, black jacket, is seen gleefully looking up at Ndichu who also sports a black cap and a brown college jacket, aptly written ‘Celtics’.

The duo was watching the playoffs game between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat at the TD Garden arena in Boston, US.
An excited Ndichu took to his Instagram stories to share the encounter, captioning it, “Fancy meeting at the playoffs!”
While it is unclear which team the former President supports, Ndichu’s team of choice was emblazoned on his brown college jacket but appears to have experienced a thrashing by the Miami Heat.
Kenyatta is an avid lover of basketball – in 2020, he famously met with retired German professional NBA player Dirk Nowitzki at State House, Nairobi.
