Virginia Mbinya Maingi found herself in the grip of the law following the suspicious demise of her son in Kinyaata, Machakos County.

Principal Magistrate Paul Matanda, presiding over the trial, rendered a verdict of acquittal for Virginia in the alleged murder of her son.
