UK Campaign Chaos: Kenyan Woman’s Death Threatens Rishi Sunak’s Position; Labour Party Vows Probe into Alleged Murder

The case of Agnes Wanjiru, a Kenyan woman killed in 2012, has become a central issue in the campaign to remove UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak from office.

The Labour Party, aiming to secure governance in 2025, has declared its intention to probe Agnes’s death if victorious in the election.

It is claimed that British soldiers, who were last observed with her on March 31, 2012, are responsible for her murder.

The Labour Party criticized the Conservative Party, currently in government, for failing to accelerate the investigations.

As outlined in their campaign platform, they’ve pledged to provide justice and resolution to the family of Agnes Wanjiru, who have been engaged with the case for more than ten years.

โ€œWe last saw you on the evening of March 31, 2012, when you went out with your friends, Susan and Florence. You took little Stacy out with you,โ€ the Labour Party wrote a letter directed to the deceased.

It is claimed that Agnes was killed by British soldiers stationed in Nanyuki.

Her remains were discovered and disposed of in a septic tank several months following her vanishing.

The British soldiers believed to be responsible for her death have been accused of ridiculing the tragedy by sharing memes featuring septic tanks.

The National Assembly interrogated Catherine Kirumba Karemu, Kenya’s candidate for High Commissioner to London, United Kingdom, on April 4, 2024, regarding her approach to managing the situation.

Karemu informed the vetting committee of the National Assembly that the issue was already being investigated.

โ€œWhat I will do if confirmed to this office is to know where are we, what has been done, and the progress as well as liaise with the Ministry of Defence from that side,โ€ she explained.
