As Maribe marked two decades of friendship with Itumbi, she expressed her deep sentiments in a birthday message, underscoring their lasting connection and dispelling any rumors about their relationship status.
In a recent birthday tribute to Itumbi, Maribe posted a group photo from a past event, playfully suggesting that the people in the image could assist Itumbi in finding a life partner.
“Happy birthday @dennisitumbi The 2 solid decades of friendship have been a testament of highs and lows, and love all the same.
“This new year around the sun, this group in this picture will help you find a wife, so everyone stops assuming it’s me. Happy birthday D.I.,” Maribe stated, clarifying their platonic connection.
This isn’t the first time Maribe has been compelled to address misconceptions about her relationship with Itumbi.
In early 2023, rumors intensified when Maribe mentioned Itumbi as her father’s son-in-law in an Instagram update, accompanied by a picture of Itumbi alongside her father.

Itumbi’s steadfast backing of Maribe amidst her widely publicized legal ordeal only intensified conjecture regarding their relationship.
During the trial regarding the homicide of businesswoman Monica Kimani, Itumbi remained steadfast in his support for Maribe, accompanying her to court proceedings and providing his assistance.
After Maribe was cleared of charges, Itumbi openly condemned former DCI George Kinoti for linking her to the case, stressing her innocence.
Apart from Itumbi, Maribe has been linked to former Citizen TV journalist Sam Ogina, who also refuted any romantic involvement with Maribe.
Maribe also has a past connection with comedian Eric Omondi, with whom she has a son in common.
