The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) on Thursday, January 8, opened an applications portal for students willing to apply for degree, diploma, and certificate courses in universities and colleges.

According to KUCCPS while the application primarily targets 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) students, four leavers from 2000 to 2022 will also be eligible to apply.

โ€œThe online KUCCPS application portal is open for placement of students to: Universities, TVET institutions, Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), Teachers Training Colleges (TTCs), and Open University of Kenya (OUK),โ€ KUCCPS revealed.

    How to Apply

Students have been asked to apply via the student’s portal www.student.kuccps.net

The portal will be open until February 20, 2024, with students encouraged to make early applications.

Once on the student portal, learners will be prompted to enter their KCSE Index Number, KCSE Year, and Password.

Students have been advised to use the Birth Certificate Number or KCPE Number (as used in KCSE Exam Registration) as the initial password.

39 public universities are eligible for government scholarships and a Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) loan.
