Senator Khalwale: I Have 17 Children and Four Wives
For years, many Kenyans have been questioning the number of children Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has.
The question of his family details often arises whenever the Senator takes to social media to celebrate the performance of his children during the release of national examination results.
Not once, twice, or even thrice has the senator posted about the performance of his different children on his social media platform.
Proud of his children and marriage, Khalwale has numerous times publicly admitted to being a polygamous man.
Though he is known to have a good number of children, details about his wives have been scanty.
In a press conference on Tuesday, the senator revealed that he has four wives and 17 children.
Khalwale said his first wife is the late Adelaide Khalwale who is the mother of his first three children.
Adelaide passed away in 2019.

He went ahead to mention his second wife, Josephine Khalwale who is the mother to three of his 17 children. One has completed university while two are still in school.
The senator said his third wife is called Gloria Khalwale who is the mother to eight of his children.
He said among the eight children some of them are in the university while others are pursuing their studies in the lower levels of education.
The senator said his fourth wife is Diana Khalwale with whom he has three children.
All three children are in lower levels of education.
The senator said he does not doubt the paternity of all his children whom they share a striking resemblance.
Khalwale was the first Senator of Kakamega County (2013 – 2017). He lost an attempt to clinch the governor in 2017 and in 2022 he sought the seat of Kakamega senator which he clinched.
Before being elected Senator, he served as Ikolomani member of Parliament between 2002 and 2013.
He is a medical doctor by profession.
