President Ruto’s Hilarious Warning To A Man Eyeing CS Nakhumicha

During a rally in Bungoma County on February 1, 2024, President William Ruto amused the audience by playfully advising a male participant to refrain from casting glances at Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha.

The leader of the nation was discussing initiatives to enhance the healthcare system within the country when he observed a man who appeared to be drawn to the Chief of Staff.

“We want to have enough nurses, and we have agreed to improve the health sector in Kenya. I am with my CS here – referring to Nakhumicha, and she will plan everything. She has heard everything,” said the President.

During the rally in Bungoma County, the head of state briefly paused his address to “caution” the man hilariously.

“You stop, she is someone’s wife. I see someone is excited, what are you excited about?” the President joked, amid laughter.

After the President visited the Western region of Kenya, he revealed several development initiatives, such as the establishment of the Naitiri Fresh Produce Market and the paving of the 40-kilometer Misikhu-Brigadier Road in Tongaren Constituency.

He mentioned that these initiatives will enhance commerce and facilitate the availability of resources and services in Bungoma County as well as other regions in Western Kenya.

The President stated that Naitiri Market in Tongaren is set to accommodate over 2,000 traders, including Mama Mbogas. Additionally, he mentioned that the facility will establish connections with the local economy as a key component of our market revitalization initiative.

In addition to CS Nakhumicha, Dr. Ruto was joined by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka, as well as various Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of County Assembly (MCAs) from the area.

Ms. Nakhumicha assumed the role of Health Cabinet Secretary in 2022, coinciding with President Ruto’s inauguration, along with other members of the Cabinet.

The Health Sector is undergoing significant transformations led by the CS, with plans to discontinue the contentious National Health Insurance (NHIF) and introduce the National Social Health Insurance Fund (NSHIF) as its replacement.
