It is unclear what the object was and whether it was related to the Chinese spy balloon shot down last week or the object shot down on Friday.
The object that was intercepted on Friday was traveling towards the North Pole at a height of 40,000 feet and a speed of 40 miles per hour when it was intercepted.
According to the White House, the object was “the size of a small car” and posed a “moderate threat” to commercial flights. The object’s function remains unclear.
