Kasarani Murder: Man Who Booked TRM Drive House Used Fake Documents
Authorities probing the demise of a 24-year-old woman on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Thika Road Mall (TRM) Drive in Nairobi County reveal that she employed false information to secure temporary lodging, according to police officers.
A detective from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) informed Nairobi News that he utilized a mobile phone registered under a female’s name to reserve the room.
“The man did not use his real documents when he booked the Airbnb, but at least we shall release some of his images so that members of the public can assist us in identifying him,” said the sleuth, who spoke in confidence as he is not authorized to address the media.
The woman’s identity is still undisclosed, and the reason for the murder is surrounded by enigma.
However, her identity will be determined by law enforcement officers who gathered her fingerprints at the crime scene.

Mark Auma, the individual responsible for maintaining the residence, came across a distressing revelation upon discovering traces of blood within the premises.
Afterward, the administration was informed, and a detailed account of the disturbing events was documented in a police report submitted to the Kasarani police station.
As per the report, an unidentified man of middle age had registered at the rental property situated in Roysambu.
Worries surfaced when the caretaker and management discovered the absence of the guests during their examination, only to track a path of blood that led them to the garbage collection area.
Surprisingly, the remnants of the individual were found inside plastic bags that had been discarded in the apartment’s trash bin.
“The caretaker then asked one of the managers to confirm if the guest had checked out, only to find nobody and the house was clean. They then followed the blood stain traces, which led them to the dustbin collection point where they discovered remains of a person, which prompted her to call the police,” the report stated.
