Woman Dies After Jumping From Third Floor of Lang’ata Apartment
A family is grieving the loss of their daughter, who tragically leaped from the balcony of her residence on the third floor in Lang’ata.
A report from the police, obtained by PoliticalPulseChat on Sunday, revealed that the incident took place approximately at 5:50 am.
The individual responsible for overseeing the apartment complex was the initial person to notify the police about the incident.
As per the report, the individual who passed away was 28 years old and resided independently in the apartment.
“Scene visited by the Deputy OCS, Duty Officer and DCI Lang’ata and the body of (the deceased), a Luhya female adult aged 28 years was found lying dead at the back of the said apartments about 1.5 kilometers north of the station,” read the police report in part.
“The scene has been processed by crime scene personnel and the body which had no physical injury but blood oozing from the nose has been moved to the City Mortuary.”
In the early morning incident, residents were notified of a pronounced noise, and they gathered around the location before the police’s arrival.
Police officers have launched investigations into the incident.

The occurrence marked the second incident of its nature on Sunday, after the gruesome dismemberment of a woman’s body in Roysambu. According to a police report, the head of the deceased was reported to be still unaccounted for.
Cases of suicides and murder have been on the rise in the recent months.
In the course of 2023, there were growing worries after 10 suicides occurred in Kiambu within a 10-month period, causing significant distress in the community.
A document published by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in August of the previous year revealed that the predominant factors behind the majority of the incidents were unemployment, the exorbitant cost of living, and alcohol abuse.
In response, psychiatrists initiated counseling initiatives aimed at averting additional loss of lives.
