Raila’s 79th Birthday To Be Celebrated Countrywide, Cake Cutting To Symbolise Tax Cuts Demand

Raila Odinga on Sunday turned 79 years old, with plans underway to celebrate his birthday in various parts of the country.

Top on his birthday message is the call for the government to cut down taxes, which have led to a high cost of living and burdening Kenyans.

Raila is set to celebrate his birthday in Malindi, Kilifi county, at the residence of former Mombasa Governor Hasan Joho.

In a communique from his team, the opposition leader said the cake-cutting ceremony will signify Kenyans’ demand for tax cuts which have increased the cost of living.

Further birthday ceremonies have been organized in various parts of the country, where his supporters will eat cake and celebrate the veteran politician.

Among these places are Kisii CBD roundabout, Siaya Governor’s Park, the Tom Mboya Statue in Nairobi CBD, Maili Tatu in Maua, Meru county, Taxi Park in Busia, Mikindani Primary School in Mombasa, Hotel Conrad in Kitengela, Kajiado, Mabriver in Kwale, Narok and Kisumu CBD.
