2023 KCPE Results To Be Released Tomorrow

On Thursday, November 23, 2023, the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results for 2023 will be made public.

The event will be officiated by CS Ezekiel Machogu at the Kenya National Examinations Council’s new Mitihani House in South “C” at 8:00 a.m., according to a statement from the Ministry of Education.

The 2023 cohort completed the KCPE examinations last, by the ministry’s efforts to phase out the 8-4-4 curriculum.

More than 1.4 million applicants took the examination in 2023.

Machogu stated on Tuesday in Nairobi that the examination that was administered from October 30 to November 1 had been satisfactorily completed.

“There were no cases of cheating. No cases of any kind of malpractice. We only had six cases which were only attempts to cheat. Out of 1,415,315 candidates, the only cases that we had were six,” he said.ย

In the KCPE results announcement from the previous year, Machogu disclosed that 252 instances of exam malpractice had transpired.

According to him, the candidates were apprehended at nine examination centers committing the vice.

The candidates were not given any credit for the subjects in which they committed academic dishonesty, the CS stated at the time.

“Overall, there were 252 candidates in nine examination centers who were found to have engaged in malpractices. These candidates have scored zero in subjects where they engaged in malpractice. Nonetheless, the affected students’ overall marks will be computed less the mark awarded in the affected subject,โ€ he said while releasing the results on December 21, 2022.
