27-Year-Old Man Arrested for Brutal Slaying of Brother’s Wife and Children in Kisii County Horror
Tuesday night, officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) apprehended a 27-year-old man in Mesaria village, Kisii County, on suspicion of slicing to death the spouse and children of his brother.
The local security forces promptly activated and initiated a manhunt for the individual sought in connection with the murders of his in-laws and the children, aged three and four, as reported by the DCI.
Police were able to apprehend the alleged murderer after hours of searching, preventing him from escaping the area.
“The suspect who ran into hiding after the homicide was nabbed last night, hours after the Tuesday 14th incident within Kegogi location in Marani sub-county, Kisii,” read part of a statement by DCI.
As per the detectives’ account, the suspect and his brother were engaged in a turbulent dispute regarding an unspecified matter.
“In an abominable resolve to settle scores, he sneaked into the brother’s house wielding a machete, cold-bloodedly slaying the helpless trio to the horror and condemnation of the neighborhood,” DCI added.

The suspect fled into concealment without being discovered after committing the heinous act, prompting the local police officers to pursue him.
In the interim, the remains of the deceased were transferred to the mortuary at Kisii Referral Hospital, where the suspect was detained by the police until his arraignment in court.
At the beginning of this month, a middle-aged male was charged with the cold-blooded murder of his ex-girlfriend.
Lucy Boke, a first-year student enrolled at the Kisii National Polytechnic, was discovered lifeless and covered in blood within her residence. She was discovered with knife wounds to the thorax and lower abdomen, according to the police.
It was claimed that the assailant had traveled from Kuria, Migori County, to the residence of the girl in Kisii, where he committed the heinous act.
