She acknowledged that she still has “the feeling that there’s one person you wish was here to watch the movie with you.”
“I also don’t want to give the impression that I’m at peace and walking around on a cloud,” she said on the ‘PEOPLE Everyday’ podcast.
“I have to wake up with the intention of this every day because there are days I don’t want to, and I’m like angry about it. That is what healing entails. It’s all over the place, up and down, side to side. Do you understand what I mean? And there’s always something new with each new level.

So I make a decision every day, but I don’t want to give the impression that, you know, ‘Oh, everything’s all flowersโฆ’ But I believe that if you make the decision and are intentional about how you want to present yourself in life, it can be gentle rather than harsh.”
While working on ‘You People’, Lauren forged a particularly strong bond with co-star Jonah Hill and they have bonded over “anxiety and work and grief”.
