Mumias East Made A Mistake Electing Clueless Boy- Governor Barasa

Sunday, the governor of Kakamega, Fernandes Barasa, criticized the residents of Mumias East for electing Peter Salasya to the legislature.

A few moments before the assault on the parliamentarian during a church fundraising ceremony, the governor was in a speech.

After claiming that Barasa was not advocating for and facilitating the revival of Mumias Sugar Company, the member of parliament was roughed up by thugs.

โ€œWe need to respect the leaders who have come to help us fundraise for the church. Speaker (Moses Wetangula) while you were away there was chaos because of a boy we elected in Mumias East,โ€ Barasa remarked.

โ€œI take this opportunity to apologize to our visitors on behalf of Mumias East because they made a mistake by electing a clueless boy.โ€

According to Barasa, this was Salasya’s inaugural occasion to address a sizable audience, and he lacked the necessary decorum and capability to manage the occasion.

Additionally, Barasa requested that Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula discharge Salasya’s bodyguards.

He clarified that their act of brandishing a pistol within the sanctuary constituted a violation of the law.

As per the first-term governor, Salsya’s attendance at the event was not to participate in the development agenda, but rather to sow disarray.

โ€œWho comes to church and starts a fight and then runs away before donating?โ€ Barasa asked.

Earlier, Salasya expressed gratitude to his bodyguards for ensuring he was unarmed throughout the altercation.

Moreover, he claimed that the individuals who unsanctioned the microphone during his address to the congregation were operating by Barasa’s directives.
