Gruesome Discovery: Nairobi Cop Found Beheaded in Kirinyaga
Tuesday, the remains of an Embakasi-affiliated police officer were discovered in a coffee plantation located in Ndia, Kirinyaga County.
As per the testimony of one of the witnesses, the severed head and knife incisions on the corpse of the officer suggestive of possible torture.
“I am shocked because I was with him. We had met somewhere yesterday evening, but unfortunately today I got reports that he had been killed and his body dumped in the coffee plantation,” a witness noted.
A resident claims that the deceased was a Nairobi Embakasi Police Station officer. Whether the officer was on vacation or duty was unclear.
Residents of Kirinyaga notified police officers upon discovering the body. Upon their arrival, the police transported the deceased to a nearby mortuary.
The remains were discovered a few meters from his residence. As the officers drove away carrying the inert body, the surrounding community was in a state of disbelief.

In Kirinyaga, the body was transported to Kerugoya Referral Hospital pending postmortem analysis to determine the cause of death.
Although the motives for the homicide remain unknown at this time, the police have initiated a pursuit of potential suspects.
On September 1, approximately the same incident transpired in the area: local inhabitants discovered the remains of a deceased man, his skull dipped in acid.
The discovery of an unresponsive male human being’s mutilated remains discarded in Njukiine Forest shocked the inhabitants of Gichugu, Kirinyaga County.
Edward Ndiragu, the sub-county police commander of Gichugu, confirmed the incident, stating that a group of women who discovered the body while fetching firewood called the police to the crime site.
“We have just learned that someone is lying in the forest, and he looks dead,” an eyewitness stated.
