Raila’s Nigeria Visit: An Overview
Odinga arrived in Nigeria on Monday, January 30th.
Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio One Kenya Coalition, has flown to Nigeria.
Raila will attend the 2022 Leadership Conference and Awards on Tuesday, January 31 in Abuja. The Orange Democratic Movement party confirmed Odinga’s departure (ODM).
“Party Leader Raila Odinga arrived in Abuja, Nigeria today for the 2022 LEADERSHIP Conference and Awards, which will be held tomorrow. “He was greeted by Abraham Nda-Ishaiah, Director of LEADERSHIP Group, and officials from the Kenyan High Commission in Abuja, as well as Nigerian government officials,” Odinga said.

‘Credible Elections and an Economy in Transition’ is the theme of the 14th annual Leadership Conference and Awards.
As Nigeria prepares for elections, Odinga is expected to speak about free elections.
He was accompanied by Azimio One Kenya spokesperson Prof Makau Mutua and other Kenya High Commission officials in Nigeria.
Raila is making his second trip in less than a month, having flown to South Africa on January 13.
Raila met with various South African leaders from both the government and the private sector during his visit.
He also met with President Cyril Ramaphosa at his private residence in Johannesburg, where they discussed a variety of issues.

President William Ruto has responded to claims by Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga that former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission officials Wafula Chebukati, Abdi Guliye, and Boya Molu visited Odinga’s home.
Raila claimed to have photos of the meeting and threatened to reveal the details of their conversations.
On Monday, January 30, President Ruto dared Odinga to explain why he invited Chebukati to his house during the 16th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Africa Prosecutors’ Association in Mombasa County.
The president told the prosecutors that he was aware of the enormous pressure that comes with dealing with political leaders.
He urged the prosecutors to create a legacy that would outlast their terms by being influenced by current events.
