    Foreigner Nabbed with 3 Military Bullets at JKIA

    An international was apprehended by police stationed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) after the discovery of military-grade ammunition in his possession.

    Wednesday, police say, the incident transpired, and the individual, who was identified as being from Ghana, had three 9mm bullets.

    The man was undergoing security screening in Dubai when the bullets were discovered in his luggage, it was disclosed.

    The JKIA screening officials promptly notified the officers who apprehended him for further interrogation.

    Police endeavored to ascertain the origin of the ammunition from which the man drew them, with initial inquiries suggesting that they were procured in the vicinity.

    Whether or not the man was carrying a firearm at the time of his detention remains unclear.

    Nevertheless, detectives continued to detain him to ascertain the origin of the firearms and the rationale behind the scheme to load the aircraft with projectiles.

    “A probe is ongoing to establish the source of the bullets,” police stated.

    Military organizations across the globe predominantly employ 9mm ammunition for combat or self-defense initiatives.

    The individual is arrested and is sentenced to seven years in prison.

    “If the firearm concerned is a prohibited weapon of a type specified in paragraph (b) of the definition of that term contained in section 2 or the ammunition is ammunition for use in any such firearm be liable to imprisonment for a term of not less than seven years and not more than fifteen years.

    “If the firearm is any other type or the ammunition for any weapon not being a prohibited weapon be liable to imprisonment for a term of not less than five, but not exceeding ten years,” read the Firearms Act in part.
