Inter Milan Turns to Harry Maguire After Failed Lindelof Bid
According to reports, Inter Milan is interested in signing Manchester United captain Harry Maguire.
Despite his World Cup heroics, England’s center-back has fallen down the pecking order at Manchester United this season and could be on his way out.
The Serie A club has enquired about the 29-year-availability, old’s and a loan deal is believed to have been proposed.
However, the player would prefer to make a long-term decision in the summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Maguire is willing to wait for his chances if injuries and suspensions cause problems for manager Erik ten Hag.

Maguire recently stated that he does not want to be a supporting player at Manchester United.
He said after making his FA Cup debut against Reading: “I’m 29 years old and have never been in this position in my career.
“I don’t want to get used to it, but it’s a necessary part of football. I’m pushing myself, training hard, and when opportunities arise, I must seize them.
“It’s been two and a half weeks since my last start, but I feel like I’ve taken care of myself.
“I’ve been putting in a lot of effort in training. The players have been performing admirably. When my chance comes, I must be prepared.
“We’ll all be needed in the second half of the season.”
Maguire has appeared in only 20% of Premier League games this season.
Under Ten Hag, he has appeared 16 times, with Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane as the first-choice center-back pairing.

Milan Skriniar is reportedly close to joining Paris Saint-Germain, so Inter is looking for a new central defender.
This January, Simone Inzaghi’s team also pursued Maguire’s teammate Victor Lindelof as a potential replacement.
The approach was rejected by Manchester United, who are looking to retain their key players ahead of a busy fixture schedule.
The Red Devils are still going strong in all competitions this season, and they have a lot of midweek games coming up, including a tough trip to Barcelona in the Europa League.
