Ruto Advisor’s Bodyguards Open Fire On Foreigner After Ambush

New information has emerged regarding the identities of the two police officers who were assaulted while driving a Prado along the Mwingi-Garissa Highway on Saturday night.

According to reports, a lone gunman believed to be a foreigner, attacked the two assistants of former Defence Cabinet Secretary and advisor to President William Ruto Monica Juma.

According to reports, the assailant ambushed the military-trained assistants and plundered them at gunpoint.

However, the tables were reversed when the shooter fired three shots while fleeing the scene, prompting the bodyguards to open fire and kill him.

Previously, PoliticalPulseChat reported that the attacker hid near the Mathakani Bridge in Mwingi and targeted motorists along the highway when he halted the Prado.

According to a report lodged at the Nguni Police Station and obtained by the author, a corporal was robbed of Ksh2,000.

“The lone robber fired 3 rounds prompting the officers to return fire which eventually fatally injured the robber. In the process, the said motor vehicle was hit twice in the rear,” read the police report.

The assailant was found to have Somali currency, an AK-47 armed with 23 bullets, and an additional 38 bullets.

Two pairs of shoes, a sufuria containing food, a knife, a solar panel, scissors, and a pen were also recovered.

In his nighttime escapade, the attacker attempted to rob a man operating a water bowser, according to the police report.

The gunman signaled the driver of the water bowser to halt, but he refused and instead accelerated towards Nguni.
