Villagers in Shock After Finding Body Parts of Relatives Who Went Missing

Two families from the Igembe constituency in Meru County are in mourning after discovering the body parts of their missing relatives discarded on the road.

According to one of the deceased’s spouses who spoke to the press on Saturday, the family has confirmed that the two body parts belong to two family members, while a third family member remains missing.

During her account of the events, the wife stated that the three victims left their residence for Kenna Forest and never returned.

As soon as the family realized something was amiss, they began making calls that went unanswered. The next step required the formation of a search party.

However, they were horrified to learn months later that their relatives’ body parts, including a head and an arm, had been discovered scattered along the roadside. At this juncture, they identified her spouse.

“When we left in search of them all we found was my husband’s head and an arm in one place. We found the second head in another location,” she stated.

The wife of the other deceased person described how her pleas to her husband went unanswered before she discovered his head and torso.

It is alleged that the victims were murdered after purchasing cows, and their corpses were dumped in the forest for hyenas to consume.

One of the victims remains unaccounted for. The family is now requesting that prompt investigations be conducted to get to the root of the matter.

The third victim’s wife discovered only footwear and articles of apparel at the crime scene. She clings to the possibility that her spouse is still alive.

As they await the conclusion of the investigations, the three widows face the possibility of rearing their children alone and becoming the breadwinners of their families.

“We pray they conduct their investigations to reveal what happened in the forest and arrest those involved,” one of the widows remarked.

As body parts were recovered from the crime scene, the families were compelled to bury them.
