    Strike Notices, Hiked Fees, and Other Crises Parents Face As Schools Reopen

    The KCSE results will be released today.

    The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education was taken by 884,263 candidates last year.

    The announcement is expected to be made by the CS at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) offices.

    Previously, the government prohibited ranking but revealed the names and schools of the top-performing candidates.

    The results of the 2022 KCSE examinations are expected to be released on Friday, ahead of the start of the first term on Monday, January 23.

    CS Education Ezekiel Machogu stated during the release of the KCPE results on December 21 that secondary education exam results would be available before schools reopened.

    The announcement is expected to be made by the CS at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) offices.

    And, as with the KCPE results, the CS is unlikely to reveal which candidate or school performed the best in the exams.

    This aligns with the new government policy of discouraging unhealthy competition among schools and candidates.

    Previously, the government prohibited ranking but revealed the names and schools of the top-performing candidates.

    Kenya High School came out on top in the 2021 exam results with a mean score of 10.467, followed by Kapsabet Boys with 10.11 points.

    Kisima is a relatively unknown artist. Nyandarua Mixed finished third with a mean score of 10.05.

    The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education was taken by 884,263 candidates last year.

    There were 405,962 male candidates and 420,845 female candidates.
