DCI Launch Manhunt For Female Suspected Of Murdering Accountant
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is requesting assistance to apprehend a woman suspected of killing a Nairobi hospital’s Finance Director.
The DCI included screenshots of the woman believed to be the murder suspect in a statement released on Thursday, September 21.
The images shared by the DCI showed the woman jumping off the Doctor’s home fence after perpetrating the crime at Woodley Estate, Nairobi.
“Following the gruesome murder of Dr. Erick Maigo, in the wee hours of Friday, September 15, 2023, detectives are appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of the woman whose images appear below.
“The suspect who was captured leaving the victim’s residence at Woodley Annex -Upper is believed to have been involved in the murder most foul before escaping through the back door,” the DCI statement read in parts.
According to the DCI, investigators found murder-related items at the crime site. Since then, the objects have been subjected to forensic analysis.

Additionally, the investigators collected blood samples from the residents. They disclosed that the samples will be used to pinpoint the suspect’s location at the crime scene.
“Two blood-stained knives believed to have been the murder weapons were recovered from the scene of the crime.
“As detectives burn the midnight oil to arrest the female suspect, members of the public are requested to volunteer any information that may lead to his immediate arrest,” DCI requested.
On Friday, September 15, the corpse of the doctor who also served as the director of finance was discovered with multiple stab wounds.
An autopsy revealed that twenty-five stab wounds contributed to his demise.
Saturday’s autopsy performed at the Lee Funeral Home revealed that several vital organs were pierced during the attack.
“We calculated and found he had 25 stab wounds. This caused both external and internal bleeding,” said chief government pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor.
He stated that there were no defensive wounds, indicating that the victim lay still while being stabbed.
