Mwangi Muraya, MCA for the Viwandani Ward in Naivasha, claims that a traffic police officer attempted to shoot him in the Nakuru County Assembly for unknown motives.

While addressing the media on Tuesday, the MCA explained that the traffic officer had been pursuing him from Gilgil and blocked his path as he made his way to the County Assembly offices in Nakuru.

In addition, he demanded disciplinary action against the traffic officer, including expulsion from the Service.

The purpose of the investigation is to determine whether the officer violated section 64 of the Police Act, which requires all officers to abide by standing orders and the Code of Regulations for the duration of his service.

In its absence, the officer will be subject to disciplinary action as determined by the National Police Service (NPS).
