59-Year-Old Man Collapses & Dies in Girlfriend’s Kitengela House
Police officers in Kitengela, Kajiado County are investigating the death of a 59-year-old man who collapsed and died in his 23-year-old girlfriend’s house.
According to a police report filed under O/B 80/18/10/2023, the incident happened when Joshua Stephen Muirui visited his girlfriend’s rental house along Balozi Road on Wednesday afternoon.
She prepared meat stew and ugali for lunch. Police disclosures narrate that the man requested the girlfriend to proceed to the bedroom after lunch.
The lady told police that they had been in a relationship for three years.
The lady further narrated that the man collapsed while they were making love, sending her into a panic.

“At around 4:00 pm, as they were making love, he fell unconscious. She placed him beside her but unfortunately, the deceased went for a long call on the bed,” the police report read in part.
“This made the girlfriend call the deceased friend, John Kinywa, to assist her in taking him to the hospital.”
According to the report, they took him to Pona Hospital in Kitengela where Muirui was pronounced dead on arrival.
The OCS Kitengela Police Station, his team, and DCI officers visited the woman’s house to secure the scene for further investigations.
The officers noted in their report that they did not carry anything from the scene as exhibits.
The deceased’s girlfriend has been taken in at Kitengela Police Station for further questioning.
Muirui’s body was moved to Kitengela Sub County Hospital Mortuary awaiting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
