2027 Showdown: APC Chair Ganduje Mocks Atiku & Opposition—Says ‘Tinubu is Unstoppable’
The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has said that no political coalition can stop President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from winning re-election in 2027.
Ganduje was responding to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s announcement about a new coalition of opposition leaders aiming to defeat Tinubu. Atiku made this statement during a briefing in Abuja on Thursday.
The opposition coalition includes Atiku, former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Babachir Lawal, former APC National Working Committee (NWC) member Salihu Moh’d Lukman, former APC National Chairmanship aspirant Soni Monidafe, and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, who was represented by Tanko Yinusa.
However, Ganduje, through a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Enlightenment, Oliver Okpala, reaffirmed his confidence in Tinubu’s victory in 2027. He described the opposition coalition as weak and ineffective.
Tinubu’s Victory is Certain – Ganduje
According to Ganduje, Tinubu’s performance as President has been outstanding, and Nigerians will re-elect him based on his achievements. He dismissed the opposition coalition as a mix of politicians with different ideologies and personal interests who cannot work together effectively.
“Tinubu’s re-election is unshakable. His victory will stand like the rock of Gibraltar. These political gatherings and complaints come from politicians who have no real political base,” Ganduje stated.
He further emphasized that no amount of political maneuvering or alliances can stop Tinubu from securing another term in office.
Conclusion
As Nigeria moves toward the 2027 elections, political battles are heating up. While the opposition is forming alliances, the APC leadership remains confident that President Tinubu will secure a second term. The coming months will reveal how these political strategies unfold.
