2 Armed Men Arrested After Locking CS Inside Loresho Plot

Two men were arrested on Tuesday, March 5 after temporarily locking Land Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome inside an Indian’s Ksh1.3 billion land in Loresho, Nairobi County.

An official from the CS’s team told Gossipa2z.com on Tuesday that the CS was in Loresho to recover the prime land initially owned by an Indian but was grabbed by a former Nairobi official.

According to the official, the group was waiting outside the plot and sprung into action after the CS and other officials entered through the gate. They proceeded to lock the government officials inside before fleeing.

On the other side of the gate, the CS and other officials called for backup from the area police who brought one of the men to open the gate.

“You must arrest the fellow that locked the gate,” the CS directed.

The man was dragged to the gate and asked to open it, however, he complained that he did not have the keys to the padlock. He later used a log of wood to break down the lock and free Wahome and others.

According to the official, the men are suspected to have been sent by the former official who grabbed the land from the foreigners.

Following the incident, Wahome ordered all occupying the land to vacate by noon on Wednesday, March 6. She directed the Gigiri OCPD Joseph Kioko to oversee the operations and see to it that the land grabbers have vacated.

“There is no absolutely no reason why there should be any other person on this site other than the two owners of this land. I will ask for an immediate report by the OCPD,” the CS remarked.

CS Wahome’s directive was well received by the foreigners who lauded her for recovering their land after years of fighting with the land grabber.

One of the owners noted that the piece of land will be used for development projects. This project will be conducted in liaison with other Indian individuals.

Notably, the CS has been on a mission to recover grabbed land both public and private. On Monday, she was in Trans Nzoia County to recover land belonging to Kitale Prisons.

This is in line with President William Ruto’s goal to ensure all land grabbers are evicted and the rightful owners get to benefit from their land.
